Gazi University Department of Statistics is one of the statistics departments having the largest number of academic staff in Turkey with 11 Professors, 7 Associate Professors, 2 Asistant Professors and 7 Research Assistants. 

The department has undergraduation and postgraduation Msc and PhD teaching programms in Statistics. In addition, it also run a master program in Data Science in line with msc in Statistics. It takes 4 years to graduate. The teaching language is Turkish.

Gazi University Department of Statistics is among the top statistics departments preferred by candidates in the university entrance exams held centrally. An average of 90 undergraduate students are admitted each year. In order for our students to graduate, they must take a total of 240 ECTS courses.

Practices of courses are carried out in two computing laboratories, one computer per student. Laboratories are used for computer programming courses as well as  statistical practice purposes.

Elective courses are designed to include methods used in solving problems in the fields of science, engineering, social sciences and health sciences, and also to advance student skills in some areas of statistics and computer science.
